À propos du pommes de terre

La culture vivrière féculente la plus produite au monde après les céréales, consommée fraîche ou transformée en frites, chips et amidon, et aussi utilisée comme alimentation animale. La Chine et l'Inde en sont de loin les plus grands producteurs, bien que la majeure partie de cette offre soit consommée localement plutôt qu'exportée — les pommes de terre sont volumineuses et périssables, si bien que le commerce international (et donc un prix mondial unique) est bien plus restreint que pour les céréales.
