À propos du millet
Un groupe de céréales à petits grains, tolérantes à la sécheresse, qui poussent là où le blé, le riz ou le maïs échouent souvent — un aliment de base en Afrique semi-aride et en Asie du Sud. L'Inde en est de loin le plus grand producteur, suivie du Niger et de la Chine. Naturellement sans gluten et de plus en plus promu comme culture résiliente au climat, mais échangé presque exclusivement au sein des régions productrices plutôt que sur les marchés internationaux.
