About Rapeseed Oil

Crushed from rapeseed/canola (see that page for the crop itself), used as cooking oil and, especially in the EU, as biodiesel feedstock under renewable-fuel mandates - the single biggest source of demand growth for this oil since the 2010s. Competes directly with soybean, sunflower and palm oil in both food and fuel markets, so prices move together with all three.
