Overview

agri.markets ("we", "us", "this site") publishes commodity price data and educational content about agricultural markets. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors, how it's used, and how advertising on this site works.

What we collect today

agri.markets does not require an account, does not run analytics or tracking scripts, and does not ask you to submit any personal information. The only piece of information the site stores about you is your light/dark theme preference, saved locally in your browser (via localStorage, not a cookie) so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. That preference never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for every request - IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is standard infrastructure logging used for security and troubleshooting, not for tracking individual visitors, and it isn't linked to any other data.

Advertising

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This may include both personalized and non-personalized ads, depending on your settings and location.

Market data sources

The commodity prices, production and trade figures shown on this site come from public datasets published by the World Bank, FAOSTAT, Eurostat, the EU Agri-food Data Portal, Statistics Canada and the USDA. This is public market data, not personal data about you.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you and to request its deletion. Beyond the standard server logs described above, the personal information collected on this site comes from third-party advertising cookies, described under Advertising above. We do not sell personal information.
