About Palm Kernel Oil

Pressed from the kernel (seed) inside the palm fruit, not the fruit's flesh (that's palm oil, tracked separately) - a different, more saturated fat closer in composition to coconut oil, used in soaps, cosmetics and specialty food fats. Produced almost entirely wherever palm oil already is, since it's a byproduct of the same harvest: Indonesia and Malaysia together supply the large majority of world exports.
